More Clues Re: the Final Cylon [SPOILERS]
They finally have a clue that makes sense to me at “You Will Know The Truth” over at SciFi.com, the place where you’re supposed to be able to figure out who the final Cylon is if you pay enough attention. Gaeta states that he hopes people will finally figure out who he is. It’s reminiscent of the scene where Gaeta goes into Baltar’s cell and starts messing with him, which eventually leads up to Baltar whispering in Gaeta’s ear and then Gaeta stabbing him with a pen. So what did he say? That he knew he was a Cylon? Or that he knew he was gay (which was confirmed in the new webisodes, Battlestar Galactica: The Face of the Enemy)? [UPDATE: One of the producers claimed in a podcast that the scene was a remainder of a deleteted subplot, but they’ve been known to deceive us before…]
Also, in the new previews for the January 16 return of the show for Season 4.5, one of the onscreen questions is “Who is the final Cylon?” followed by quick flashes of several characters: Admiral Adama, Felix Gaeta, Helo, Baltar, Dualla, Laura Roslin, Lee Adama, Tom Zarek, and Starbuck. Assuming they’re not pulling a fast one on us by not showing the actual final Cylon (admittedly a possibility), if you match those up with the names that ScyFy Portal claimed were the shortlist, and it narrows it down to three: Lee, Roslin…and Gaeta. Now, if you add in the fact that Ron Moore claims the final Cylon isn’t in the “Last Supper” picture, that leaves out Roslin and Lee.
And that leaves us with one suspect.
So either it’s looking more and more like I’m right about Gaeta being the final Cylon, or they’re trying to make it really obvious in order to throw us off.
