One Last Thing About the Last Cylon… [Possible Spoilers]
Since the identity of the final Cylon may or may not be revealed in tomorrow’s episode of Battlestar Galactica, I want to make one more prediction. From what I’ve seen and heard, I’m starting to get the feeling they may try to fool us with a false identification in the first couple episodes of Season 4.5, and then tell us later who it really is. There is a rumor going on that the final Cylon is female and already dead. That probably leaves us with either Cally Tyrol or Ellen Tigh (both of whom were on my “final three” list from an earlier post on the subject). Also, in one of the clues at SciFi.com, it appears that Lee Adama might be saying at a press conference that they believe the last Cylon is dead.
So here’s my theory: They’re going to tell us that Ellen Tigh was a Cylon and make us think she’s the last model. Then, later, we’re going to find out that Ellen was actually an older Six model, so even though she WAS a Cylon, she wasn’t the final humanoid model. THEN we’re going to find out it’s actually Gaeta.
Whoa. Older Six model makes sense, which explains Tigh’s issues with the imprisoned Six that came to Galactica with Hera.
One thing about the already dead theory. Cally and Ellen died before they destroyed the resurrection ship, didn’t they? So they’d be regenerated already.
Right, but we don’t know if the Final Five Cylons are capable of resurrection like the other seven are. At least as far as I can remember.
I still don’t think we really know who the fifth Cylon is even after the second episode in Jan. Maybe Ellen, maybe not but I like the idea put forth about her being an older Six.
I totally agree. In fact, I said the same thing in my review of the last episode at Pop Syndicate (which isn’t posted yet). I’m going to be doing another post on that subject very soon.
I think it’s Gaeta. Think about it…Ellen revealed that the Model 7 was artistic. Who has been the only one to show any artistic ability – Gaeta when he was singing in the infirmary after his leg was amutated. Then – why would they show that conversation between Gaeta and Baltar before Gaeta was shot? At the time I felt that conversation didn’t fit. Gaeta revealing that he drew as a child, then made the comment, “I hope people know the real me.” (or something like that)
If you think about it and the flow of that episode – that entire scene was out of place. But after Ellen reveals that the final cylon is a male and artistic – it makes sense now.
That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking, and I’ve been maintaining in my other posts that they were going to pull something like this, and that Gaeta would end up being a Cylon as well (even when I was being laughed at after they revealed Ellen as Number Twelve).
