Blackbeard: Legend of the Pyrate King
I picked up Blackbeard: Legend of the Pyrate King #1 from Dynamite Entertainment yesterday, and, man, was it good. As a naval historian, comic book reader/creator, and pirate fan, it was the perfect story for me: well-written, well-drawn, and a cover by none other than John Cassaday! The story is by Greg Halle and Eduardo Sanchez (of Blair Witch fame), written by Robert Place Napton and screenwriter Jamie Nash, with art by Mario Guevara. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend it.
